Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve atomization of fuel and to provide fuel dispersion distribution in an ideal trapezoidal shape, by a method wherein a plurality of fuel injection holes are formed between the inner and the outer cylinder of a double cylinder nozzle having the throttled tip of the outer cylinder, a straight tubular air nozzle is formed approximately at the center of the interior of the inner cylinder, and an inner swirler is positioned therearound. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of fuel injection holes 20 are formed in a closed part 19 on the tip side between inner and outer cylinders 15 and 16, a straight tubular injection nozzle 22 is situated concentrically to the inner cylinder 15, and an inner swirler 23 is disposed therearound. A jet 31 of fuel through the plurality of fuel injection holes 20 is collided with an inner wall 33 of a throttle nozzle 32, and the jet is spread without reflection to form an uniform liquid film 34. In this case, the liquid film is pressed against the inner wall 33 side by means of an inner swirl air flow 35 from an inner swirler 32 to uniformize its thickness. First stage atomization of the liquid film 34 is effected in a position in the vicinity of a throttle nozzle outlet 18 in a state to be nipped by a straight advancing air flow 36 through a straight tubular air nozzle 22 and swirl air flows 37 through an inner swirl air flow 35 and a shroud swirler 24. Second stage atomization is effected by means of a swirl air flow 38 of a main swirler 25.
