Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate unpleasant cold draft immediately after a startup and perform the heating in a short period of time by providing a shutter which, depending on the temperature of hollow panel of a panel type floor heater, shuts off the air flow to the air outlet. CONSTITUTION:Upon starting, the fan 4 draws in the outside air from an air inlet 18 on one side, and the air becomes hot by being heated by a heater 3 and is supplied into the air duct in the hollow panel to be discharged out of an air outlet 8. The shutter 7 is controlled to remain in a closed position until the temperature of the hollow panel 2 is raised to a preset, temperature, and, during such time, hot air is caused to flow through the hot panel 2 to heat it, and so, persons on the hollow panel 2 will not be exposed to the unpleasant cold draft. When the temperature of the hollow panel 2 reaches the preset temperature, a temperature controller 10 controls the shutter 7 in the outlet 6 to be opened to allow the hot air to be delivered out of the outlet 6. However, since the hollow panel 2 has already been heated enough, it will not be cooled enough for the persons to feel the cold.
