Abstract

PURPOSE:To judge on whether impact face of more than the specified value is added to a rope tensioner and a rope or not in an easy manner by making a dent of the rope due to the impact force so as to be left behind on the peripheral surface of a check member of the tensioner of a parent rope engaging a lifeline at high ground work. CONSTITUTION:When impact force is added to a rope R as a parent rope by an operator's fall or the like during operation at an elevated spot, it is crossly stretched between a pulley 2 and a check member 5 being externally fitted in a rope guide member 4, so that the said impact force is transmitted to the pulley 2 and the check member 5 as almost radial impact force. Consequently, the rope R comes to be impactly pressed to the outer circumference of the check member 5, and since the check member 5 is made of soft synthetic resin, a dent of the rope R is formed on the outer circumference of the check member 5 by dint of the impact force. That is to say, if a fact that whether the dent is put on the outer circumference of the check member 5 or not is checked, whether the impact force is added to a rope tensioner and the rope R itself or not is judged and, what is more, whether reuse is possible or not can be easily known.
