Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the high voltage from being generated on the secondary winding of a leakage transformer at the time of the start by forming a saturable section with a cross section area smaller than that of a magnetic shunt core main body section on the magnetic shunt core of the leakage transformer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic shunt core 8 made of ferromagnetic material and arranged at a gap between a primary winding 2p and a secondary winding 2s is protruded with a rectangular saturable section 8b with a cross section area smaller than that of a main body section 8a on the side face of the rectangular main body section 8a, and this saturable section 8b is arranged to face the side legs 6b, 7b of the first and second cores 6, 7. The cross section area of the saturable section 8b is formed into the size that it is not saturated by the whole magnetic flux generated by the current of the primary winding 2p and the tertiary winding 2t and passing through the magnetic shunt core 8. The voltage generated by the secondary winding of a leakage transformer can be thereby suppressed low when a magnetron is not in operation immediately after the start.
