Abstract

PURPOSE:To safely converting the leading end part of a guide wire corresponding to the bending of a blood vessel, by applying twisting and revolving operation force to the guide wire while grasping an operating utensil as a grip handle. CONSTITUTION:An operating utensil consisting of a grasping body 13 receiving a catheter introducing guide wire 11 in a piercing state and the press body 18 assembled with the grasping body 13 is prepared. The grasping body of this operating utensil is engaged with the hand side part of the guide wire 11 and the press body 18 is manually operated to bring the grasping body 13 or press body 18 into contact with the surface of the guide wire 11 to integrate the same with said wire. Thereafter, twisting and revolving operation force is applied to the guide wire 11 while the operating utensil is grasped at a grip handle to convert the leading end part of the guide wire 11 according to the bending of a blood vessel.
