クを、上記アツパーブロツクと上記オイルパンと
の間で上記クランクシヤフトの両側方に延びてク
ランク室を区画形成するとともに上記複数のメイ
ンベアリングキヤツプ部を相互にそれらの側端位
置で連結する側壁部と、該側壁部から上記クラン
クシヤフトの下方に該クランクシヤフトの回軸軌
跡を避けるように湾曲して延びて上記各メインベ
アリングキヤツプ部間で該メインベアリングキヤ
ツプ部同士を連結する湾曲壁とで構成し、上記湾
曲壁の下方に、該湾曲壁と上記側壁部とを連結す
るリブ部を設けたことを特徴とするエンジンのシ
