Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent small size waste plastics from dropping down through a discharge opening without being reduced their volume or melted by arranging a rotating shaft with a screw blade toward the discharge opening and by providing a shutter plate to this opening. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of waste plastics which are charged through a charge opening 7 are stirred by a screw blade 10 attached to a reversely rotating shaft 11 so that a draft of hot wind is improved and miscellaneous waste plastics are evenly heated. Although small size waste plastics are apt to drop into a bucket 14 through a clearance between the screw blade 10 and the discharge opening 8 before they are heated up, they are accumulated on a shutter plate 13, which is arranged at the discharge opening 8, heated, reduced their volume or melted by the hot wind blown by way of nozzles 6a. Half-molten waste plastics are conveyed to the discharge opening 8 by turning the blade 10 into normal rotation and discharged into a bucket 14 after opening the shutter plate 13.
