Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit the recovery of an ultrafiltration film clogged with fine particles in a tubular type ultrafiltration device by continuously washing the surface of said film with sponges in the suspensions forming a fluidized bed in lieu of using any special device for frictionally washing the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The soil water and the crushed sponge balls in a size of 1-2mm are added into a fluidized biological waste water treatment tank 1 and aerated with the air sucked in from an air blow device 2 into a suspension fluidized state. This fluidized suspension is partially discharged by a pump 3 and delivered to a tubular type ultrafiltration device 4 for ultrafiltration by using the ultrafiltration film controlling a group of tubes, the filtrate is removed from an outlet opening 5 and the treated liquid is sent back to a suspension fluidized bed 1a through a passage pipe 6. The sponge balls are moved in a turbulent suspension state within the group of tubes in this filtration device. During this movement, the sponge balls frictionally wash the surface of the ultrafiltration film, thereby avoiding the adhesion of the fine particles to the film surface and reducing the clogging.
