Abstract

PURPOSE:To atomize water generated from a heat exchanger and discharge it by a method wherein an atomizer having a supersonic vibrator, a sensing means for detecting a water level and temperature of water recovered in a water pan and a coil spring made of shape memory alloy operating a control vane are provided. CONSTITUTION:When a cooling operation is performed, atomized water condensed by an indoor heat exchanger 12 is collected at an atomized water receiving pan 15, the water is dripped along a fin surface of an outdoor heat exchanger 13 and then recovered into a water receiving pan 15. Before a heating operation is performed, the outdoor heat exchanger 13 is operated as a evaporator. A water temperature sensing means 24 for sensing a water temperature of water 20 recovered in the water receiving pan 15 is arranged. In case the water temperature is less than 0 deg.C or less, for example, an oscillation frequency of a supersonic vibrator 22 is increased to prevent a freezing of water 20.
