Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable blast while energy is being saved by providing an auxiliary turbine on the way to a bypass exhaust passage, and driving an auxiliary blower by said auxiliary turbine so as to send air to a heat exchanger cooling exhaust gas for circulation. CONSTITUTION:In a device wherein exhaust gas generated by an engine 2 is exhaust through passages starting from the engine connecting section 10 of an exhaust manifold 4 to the exhaust manifold 4, a turbine 7 and an exhaust pipe 18 in order, a bypass exhaust passage 26 is provided which discharges a part of exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold 4, and an auxiliary turbine 25 is arranged on the way thereto. In addition, a heat exchanger 20 cooling exhaust gas and an EGR valve 15 are provided for a circulating passage circulat ing a part of exhaust gas to an exhaust manifold 3. And it is so constituted that air sent from an auxiliary blower 24 powered by the auxiliary turbine 26 is set to the heat exchanger 20 as cooling air.
