Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely correct defects generated in patterns of a waterless planographic press-plate, by providing a thin film of a silicone rubber on a plate surface including defective parts in a silicone rubber layer in patterns, and removing the thin silicone rubber film parts located on printing areas. CONSTITUTION:When defects 4 are generated in a silicone rubber layer 3 in patterns of a press-plate obtained by subjecting a waterless planographic plate to exposure and development, a silicone rubber solution is applied to the place surface including the defective parts 4, followed by drying and hardening to provide a thin silicone rubber film 6 adhered firmly to the silicone rubber layer 3 in the patterns. Next, the defects 4 in the patterns are corrected by removing the thin silicone rubber film parts 6 present on printing areas 5 by rubbing or the like, or by removing the parts 6 by development or the like. The thin silicone rubber film 7 newly provided on the plate surface including the defective parts 4 is adhered firmly to the silicone rubber layer 3 in the patterns, and can not be released even by a removing process by development or the like.
