Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify facility attached to a cooling/heating roll, to reduce frequency for repairing/replacing parts, to reduce maintaining cost of machine and to eliminate loss due to stop of machine, in an ink feed roll for printer, by cooling/heating the roll through a thermoelectric element and a heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:Supporting shafts are provided at the right and left ends of a roll body 1 having a tubular hollow section 4. The supporting shafts 5 are communicated with the hollow section 4 in the roll body 1. A heat pipe 2 is mounted from a holed portion 6 of the supporting shaft at open side, where the end portion 20 at open side of the shaft is exposed by predetermined length to the outside of the supporting shaft 5. Exposed end portion 2a is fitted with a supporting member 7 fixed to a body frame 10 arranged at the outside of the roll body 1. Thermoelectric elements, i.e., different metal joints 3, are secured closely to the outer face of the supporting member. Wiring is made for different metal in the joint 3 with different metal to form a two pole terminal.
