Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a detection to determine whether temperature control of articles such as frozen food is performed normally at a distribution storage stage, by attaching a thermosensitive material to a frozen food or the like in such a manner as to change color in reaction between two kinds of solutions when shifting from a low to normal temperature. CONSTITUTION:An acetic acid aqueous solution 1 is wrapped with a film 2 of a ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and added to a mixed solution 3 of sodium bicarbonate and phenolphthalene to make a thermosensitive material. The thermosensitive material thus obtained is applied on a frozen food or the like to be stored by freezing. When the frozen food is stored by freezing, the film 2 of the thermosensitive material is broken while acetic acid and sodium bicarbonate are coagulated to check reaction among the acetic acid and sodium bicarbonate and phenolphthalene. When the frozen food or the like shifts once from the freezing to normal condition, the reaction develops so that phenolphthalene turns colorless and transparent from red, the condition which is further maintained even when the food is frozen again. Thus, it is possible to learn that temperature control of the frozen food or the like is performed normally by detecting this change in color.
