Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the anti-pre-S antibody of serum to be examined with high sensitivity, by adding a carrier having protein A bonded thereto to a liquid mixture containing serum to be examined and pre-S peptide and measuring the radioactivity of the separated carrier. CONSTITUTION:A carrier having protein A bonded thereto is added to a liquid mixture containing serum to be examined and pre-S peptide labelled with <125>I. The carrier is separated from the liquid mixture to measure the radioactivity of the separated carrier. As pre-S peptide, peptide containing the common region in the pre-S region between HBU sub-types (e.g., adr, adw, ayw, ayr) is suitable. As the carrier for bonding protein A, an agarose gel (Cephalose) simple in the separation from a liquid phase and in washing is used. By this method, the anti-pre-S antibody in serum to be examined is measured with high sensitivity.
