Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely protect a recording layer by laminating and forming a low heat shrinkable film layer and moistureproof layer on the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The low heat shrinkable film layer 5 and the moistureproof layer 6 are successively laminated and formed via an adhesive agent layer on the recording layer 4 of an optical recording medium provided with the recording layer 4 on one face of a light transmissive substrate 3. Since the low heat shrinkable film layer 5 has low stress, the layer is capable of preventing the camber of the substrate 3 and since the moistureproof layer 6 is formed on the recording layer 4, the layer is capable of sufficiently protecting the easily oxidizable material of the recording layer 4. The recording layer 4 is thereby sufficiently protected even if the protective layer is thin. The mechanical strength and reliability are thus improved.
