CONSTITUTION:When multiple discharge lamps 1 constituting a light facility are to be arranged in a regular pattern shape, discharge lamps O in I type connection and discharge lamps (X) in II type connection are arranged in zigzags, for example. In I type connection, the base side electrode 2 in the discharge lamp 1 is connected to the pole A of the power source through a base, and the opposite electrode 3 is connected to the base itself then connected to the pole B of the power source. In II type connection, the above connection is reversed, the base side electrode 2 is connected to the base itself then connected to the pole A of the power source, and the opposite electrode 3 is connected to the pole B of the power source through the base. The light output of the discharge lamp is only the basic oscillation with the double frequency of the power source frequency, and no flickering occurs.
