Abstract
PURPOSE: To accelerate the smoothing on the cap surface and prevent the wetting phenomenon or the like on the cap inner wall by molding the cap of an ignition distributor with the insulating molded resin mixed with the same type of thermoplastic resin with different fluid characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: An ignition distributor has a cap and distributes the igniting voltage to multiple plugs of an internal combustion engine. In this case, the cap is molded with the insulating molded resin containing at least one of a reinforcing material and a filler material and mixed with the same type of thermoplastic resin with different fluid characteristics. Polypropylene with different fluid characteristics is used as the insulating molded resin. Homopolymer and block polymer with different fluid characteristics are used as polypropylene. Polyphenylene sulfide with different fluid characteristics is mixed into the insulating molded resin. The smoothing on the cap surface is thereby accelerated, and the wetting phenomenon or corona deterioration on the cap inner wall is prevented.
