Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately and also easily detect the quantity of a reception signal from lots of slave stations by detecting the quantity of the received signal and decoding an address simultaneously while a slave station address sequence included in advance in a training signal is being received. CONSTITUTION:A training signal detection circuit 5 is provided, the slave station address sequence is provided on a carrier signal sent from each slave station as a training signal and a mean value of the error signals for a time while the slave address sequence is received by the training signal detection circuit 5 is detected by an averaging circuit 4. That is, a slave station transmitting a carrier signal is confirmed and the mean value of the error signal for a time while the slave station address sequence is received is detected as the quality criterion. Thus, even when lots of slave stations exist, the quality of the received signal for a MODEM is detected accurately and easily without mis-identifying the transmission slave stations.
