Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance and spalling resistance of a tuyere by forming welding layer mixing boride series ceramic powder and metal powder on the surface of tip part of the tuyere. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of the tip part of copper or copper alloy-made tuyere body 1, the welding layer 3 mixing the boride series ceramic powder of ZrB2, etc., and the metal powder of Ni base metal, etc., is formed. The above ceramic mixing with the metal is desirable to be about 20-80vol.%, and further, in the case of mixing >=30vol.% the ceramic, it is desirable to arrange an underlaying welding layer composing of Ni base metal layer, etc. In such a way, the tuyere executing the cladding by welding is difficult to develop the damage of the spalling and erosion of the welding layer and the service life of the tuyere can be drastically extended.
