Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of the titled metal by incorporating specific amounts of ceramics grains or reinforcing fibers into Mg (alloy) as the matrix metal and reinforcing said metal. CONSTITUTION:Mg or Mg alloy is prepd. as the matrix metal. The ceramics grains or reinforcing fibers are incorporated into said matrix at 2-50% areal content. The Mg based composite reinforced metal for a vane which is lightweight and has excellent wear resistance can thus be obtd. Said reinforced metal is used for a compressor such as refrigerating machine.
