Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the wiring set between a main device and a spare device at the time of a back-up operation and at the same time to omit an external auxiliary relay, by securing connection between a RUN circuit of the main device and an output inhibiting circuit of the spare device by an external wiring. CONSTITUTION:A PUN contact 7 of a 1st electronic device PC1 is connected to the external terminals Ta' and Tb' of an output inhibiting relay 9; of a 2nd electronic device PC2 with wires 16. When the abnormality is detected by a watchdog timer circuit, etc. of an arithmetic processing part of the PC1, a RUN relay-off command is outputted to an output latch of of the arithmetic processing part and a RUN relay 6 of the PC1 is not energized with a RUN contact X1a opened. Thus an output relay group 8 is not energized and at the same time a constantly closed contact X2b, of the relay 9' of the PC2 is closed. Then the power is supplied to an output relay group 8' of the PC2 and an external output device 11 is driven by the PC2. In such a way, the PC2 starts automatically when the PC1 has abnormality and therefore a system can work with no downtime when the PC1 is switched to the PC2.
