Abstract

PURPOSE:To expand the frequency band capable of recording by recording at least one signal of either luminance signals or color signals for one picture on the plural recording tracks of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal from an input terminal 2 is transmitted to the contact point (a) of a changeover switch 12A via an FM modulation circuit 8. Color signals from input terminals 54, 66 is transmitted to the contact point (b) of a changeover switch 12B. Via FM modulation circuits 60, 72 and an adder 64. The switches 12A, 13B are controlled by a system controller 44. The luminance signal and the color difference signals are selectively supplied to magnetic heads 22, 24, 26, 28, and recorded respectively on the plural recording tracks of the magnetic disk.
