Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out a rapid and uniform winding operation of a sheet of stretch film, by providing two couples of clamping members to hold the edges of a sheet of stretch film winding out from a reel or by means of holding one side thereof with a couple of the clamping members and the other side thereof with another couple of the clamping members. CONSTITUTION:A reel 2 is fixed at a suitable position of a drum 1 to store a wide tape of a sheet of stretch film and winds up the tape on an article placed on a table 3 due to the rotation with the drum. This device includes two couples of clamping members 11-14 as a tape holder 10 to secure the tape ends and also includes a cutter 15 to cut off the tape upon completion of winding. One couple of clamping members 11, 12 clamp together one side of a tape T composed of the stretch film and the other couple of clamping members 13, 14 clamp the other side of the tape. When the drum 1 rotates more than a half revolution, the couple of clamping members move back, crossing the tape, and the other side of the tape is fastened by only the other couple of clamping members 13, 14. The stretch film as a tape material is wound in an extended state in width.
