Abstract
PURPOSE:To accomplish improvement of the working atmosphere and prevent the production of yellow turbid water, by forming sandy powder consisting of aluminoborosilicate glass having specific weight composition of oxides.] CONSTITUTION:The objective slag-treating agent i.e. sandy powder consisting of aluminoborosilicate glass having such a composition as to be 5-50wt.% of Me2/nO (Me is alkali or alkaline earth metal; n is valence), 5-25wt.% of Al2O3, 20-60wt.% of B2O3, 5-40wt.% of SiO2 and 0-10wt.% of the other components, containing >=90wt.% of the powder with the size ranging from 0.1-5mm. This treating agent can dissolve in slag quickly, causing no degassing reaction, leading to prevention of scattering of the powder along with improvement of the working atmosphere, furthermore effecting prevention of the production of yellow turbid water.
