Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise resolution and to obtain a transmission type screen which is easy to be viewed as a whole by installing diffraction grating having engraved grooves in concentric circles on a part of the surface of a screen main body integrally with the screen main body or separately from it. CONSTITUTION:The transmission type screen 1 is constituted of the screen main body 2 and the diffraction grating 4 which is installed on the outer peripheral surface of the screen main body 2 integrally with the screen main body 2 and has the grooves 3 in concentric circles. The diffraction grating 4 has pitches (they decide a diffraction angle) same as a Fresnel zone plate and its grooves 3 are brazed so as to make the intensity of primary light the intensest. And the pitches of the grooves 3 (striped) are about several tens mu - several mu. The incident light which is made incident on the screen main body 2 is intensely condensed to the center direction of the concentric circles with a diffraction action when it passes the grooves 3, so that the screen looks bright when the transmission type screen 1 is viewed in front.
