Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the temperature of a laser-diode-pellet by mounting a thermocouple for thermometry near the laser-diode-pellet. CONSTITUTION:A laser diode pellet 1 is set up onto a mount 6 formed into a package 2. A thermocouple 5 is penetrated to the mount 6 and the package 2, and fitted near the pellet 1. The pellet 1 is pulse-oscillated or CW-oscillated, thus generating heat, then changing the temperature of the pellet 1. The temperature change is detected as the variation of the electromotive force of the thermocouple 5, and the temperature of the pellet can be measured.
