Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance stability, and impact absorptivity and distributive property by constituting a layered insole of two layers of a lower layer formed of a semi-rigid material and having openings in the swelling area of foot and swelling area of heel, and an upper layer formed of a cushioning material and having means mutually fitted to the openings within the lower layer on the lower side of the upper layer. CONSTITUTION: A lower layer 10 has a first opening 20 in the swelling (broad part) area of foot and a second opening 22 in the swelling area of heel, and the thermoplastic material of the lower layer is harder than an upper layer, and rigid. An upper layer 30 containing a foamed elastomer such as foamed polyethylene and various foamed copolymers has mutually fitting means formed of protruding parts 40, 50 on the lower side of the swelling of foot and the lower side of the swelling of heel, and the protruding parts 40, 50 correspond to the positions of the openings 20, 22 within the lower layer, and are closely fitted to the openings within the lower layer. The protruding parts 40, 50 have dents 42, 52 of certain forms, the dent 42 is run in parallel to the width of the foot to provide high flexibility and also reduce the weight of the insole.
