Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform the aseptic and pyrogen-free operation of an artificial organ without generating air bubbles in said organ, by accurately metering the amount of an adsorbent in such a state that a metering assist container is connected to the opening part of the artificial organ in a close contact state to fill said organ. CONSTITUTION:A metering assist container is connected to the opening part of an artificial organ in a close contact state to be used as an integrated container. After the container is filled with a definite amount of a solution, an adsorbent in a compatible state wherein the concn. of the adsorbent in the solution is a known definite value in introduced into the container until the amount of the liquid mixture becomes a definite amount. By discharging a definite amount of the excessive solution to the artificial organ from the liquid mixture, the artificial organ can be filled with a definite amount of the adsorbent compatible with the solution by sedimentation filling. By this method, filling mechanical operation becomes possible and the adsorbent in the compatible state is not brought into contact with the open air. That is, aseptic and pyrogen- free operation becomes possible and the stability of the adsorbing type artificial organ is secured.
