Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a voucher from its feed of a number of sheets due to contact between the vouchers by providing an adjusting means which moves the position of a separating roller for the second roller in accordance with the thickness of the voucher. CONSTITUTION:The position of a separating roller 29 is adjusted by a pinch piece 45 in accordance with the thickness of a voucher 2. Thereafter, by feed turning rollers 5, 6 by rotating a motor 24, a number of sheets of vouchers 2 are fed by friction force with the voucher 2 provided in a voucher reservoir 16 coming into contact with these rollers and contact between the vouchers 2. However, one sheet of the voucher 2, coming into contact with the rollers 5, 6, is fed by the rollers 5, 6, but the voucher 2 after the second sheet coming into contact with the voucher 2 is fed in an opposite direction to the feed direction by the separating roller 29, being prevented from being fed in the feed direction because contact resistance of the voucher 2 with the separating roller 29, turning in an opposite direction to the feed direction, is larger than the contact resistance between the vouchers 2.
