PURPOSE:To prepare the title dispersion which is cured at a low temp. to give a film having excellent hardness, weather resistance and appearance and is useful for a one-pack coating material having an excellent storage stability, by the dispersion polymn. of an ethylenically unsatd. monomer in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer resin consisting of a specified siloxy-contg. copolymer (a modified product thereof) in an org. liq. CONSTITUTION:5-60wt.% polymerizable unsatd. monomer (a) having at least one polymerizable unsatd. group and a group of the formula as shown (where R1-2 are each R3, Cl, H, F; R3 is 1-18C alkyl, phenyl, aryl) [e.g., trimethylsiloxyethyl (meth)acrylate] is copolymerized with 95-40wt.% polymerizable unsatd. monomer capable of copolymn. therewith (b) [e.g., alkyl (meth)acrylate] to give a dispersion stabilizer resin A consisting of a siloxy- contg. copolymer having a number-average MW of 1,000-35,000 and/or a modified product thereof having an unsatd. double bond capable of radical polymn. An ethylenically unsatd. monomer C is submitted to a dispersion polymn. in the presence of A in an org. liq. B such as xylene.
