Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having an excellent balance between the dimensional stability and the falling dart impact strength of a molded plate and excellent solvent resistance, by mixing a polyphenylene ether resin, a specified copolyamide resin, and a crystalline polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is obtained by mixing 5-70wt.% polyphenylene ether resin (A) comprising a copolymer of a compound having an ether linkage preferably with alkyl substituents at the two ortho positions to the oxygen atom, 2,6-dialkylphenol, and 2,3,6-trialkylphenol; 30-95wt.% non-crystalline or lowly crystalline cyclic hydrocarbon copolyamide resin (B) having a linkage of the formula in the polymer chain and a glass transition temperature of 90-250 deg.C, preferably 110-160 deg.C; and 0-29wt.% crystalline polyamide resin (C) (e.g., nylon 6) having a linkage of the formula in the main polymer chain, meltable by heating, and showing a definite melting point at which the heat of melting can be measured.
