Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a coating treatment for a coated surface which gives a coating film having excellent stain-proofing properties, water repellency, etc., by using low-MW polytetrafluoroethylene having a specified MW as an effective component. CONSTITUTION:Low-MW polytetrafluoroethylene having an MW of 1,000-100,000 as an effective component is blended with necessary additives such as coated surface protective agent (e.g., paraffin wax), a dispersion medium (e.g. naphtha), a lustering agent and a pigment to prepare a coating treatment for a coated surface. The amt. of the low-MW polytetrafluoroethylene to be blended is suitable 10-50wt.%. The low-MW polytetrafluoroethylene serves to readily form a coating film on a coated surface with an excellent adhesion, and exhibits excellent stain-proofing properties attributable to the low surface energy inherent in the polytetrafluoroethylene.
