Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a stable generation output effectively by setting at least one of unit cells composing a fuel cell stack to be for monitoring having lower volt-ampere characteristics than the other unit cells, keeping its voltage constant while outputting current, and supplying fuel following the output current. CONSTITUTION:At least one of unit cells composing a fuel cell stack 10 is set to be a unit cell for monitoring of which current-voltage characteristics are set lower than those of the other unit cells, and the voltage of this unit cell for monitoring is kept constant, where power generation is conducted for the fuel cell stack 10. For controlling reformed gas supply quantity to the fuel cell stack 10 to follow the output current of the fuel cell stack, a central controller 18 compares a preset current value with the output current value at the stack detected by a current measuring device 21, and pumps 3, 5 and fans 7, 15 are controlled based on the difference so as to control charging quantity of reformed material. A fuel cell power generation system can thus be operated effectively.
