Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically stir the blood in blood settling tubes and to effectively execute mixing of the blood with an anti-clotting agent soln. by freely rotatably and pivotally supporting a holding frame which can fix the blood settling tubes in an upright state and rotating the holding frame at every half turn by intermittent timing. CONSTITUTION:The blood settling tubes 1 which are closed at the bottom end and are hermetically sealed with rubber plugs at the top end are inserted and held into holes 6 provided to a body 5 of the holding frame 2 and are retained by a retaining mechanism 7 from the rear face. Fulcrum shafts 26, 27 are fixed on both sides of the body 5 of the holding frame 2. These shafts 26, 27 are freely rotatably and pivotally supported to bases 28, 29. A control driving section is constituted of a driving section which exerts rotating power to the holding frame 2 and a control section which controls the timing for rotation. The driving section is constituted of a motor M mounted in a base plate 3 and a toothed belt 32 and rotates the holding frame in an arrow direction by the rotation of the motor M. The control section controls a motor M in such a manner as to rotate the holding frame 2 at every half turn by the intermittent timing.
