Abstract
PURPOSE:To retard storage deterioration, to ensure engine starting capability, and to decrease casting detect generating rate by specifying the contents of antimony, arsenic, tin, copper, and lead in a current collector. CONSTITUTION:A current collector is made of an alloy comprising 1.5-3.0wt.% Sb, 0.01-0.3wt.% As, 0.02-0.10wt.% Sn, 0.005-0.03wt.% Cu, and the balance Pb. Oxidation of lead is retarded by tin (the ionization tendency of Sn is larger than that of Pb), and solidification break of the alloy is prevented by copper. Starting capability of an engine is ensured, deterioration in voltage during storage is retarded, and the generation rate of casting defect is decreased.
