Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent width shape defects of a product and to improve the rolling efficiency by edging a slab to obtain a target width in edging just before the final edging and performing the final edging after finishing a sheet thickness to be a target value in the succeeding horizontal rolling. CONSTITUTION:A metal slab 1 is reversibly rolled between rolls 2-4 by installing a horizontal roll 3 (H) stand between stands of vertical rolls 2(V1), 4(V2) having a kaliber.
