Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve thermal conductivity of the titled clad steel by piling up an upper plate of ferritic stainless steel with specific Cr content, a high purity Al intermediate plate with specific thickness and a lower steel plate with specific thickness to roll and weld these plates with pressure. CONSTITUTION:The upper steel plate 10 of the ferritic stainless steel with the plate thickness 0.3-3.0mm containing 10.0-30.0wt.% Cr is superposed on the Al intermediate plate 12 with the plate thickness 1.0-10.0mm and purity >=99% and heated to about 450 deg.C with a heating furnace 14 and rolled and cladded. The cladded plate obtained by this method is superposed on the lower steel plate 18 with the plate thickness 3.0-30.0mm and heated to >=about 400 deg.C and rolled and cladded to form a three-layer clad steel plate 20. The thermal conductivity of this multi-layer clad steel 20 is improved by the Al intermediate plate 12 and the temperature unevenness of the surface stainless steel 10 is eliminated by heating from the bottom and the satisfactory property can be provided as heating plates for various kitchen apparatuses.
