Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve corrosive resistance of an aluminum product after brazing by forming flux for brazing Al member composing of Al or Al alloy with the specific quantity of tin fluoride and a complex of potassium fluoroaluminate. CONSTITUTION:The tin fluoride is contained by 1-20wt.% to the complex of the potassium fluoroaluminate as the flux for brazing the Al member. At the time of brazing, the tin fluoride is melted at the time of heating for brazing and Sn is precipitated and dispersed on the surface of the aluminum member. As this dispersed layer of Sn is base to an electric potential of non-dispersed layer, the pitting corrosion is prevented and the service life of the aluminum product after brazing is extended and production process is shortened.
