Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of electrostatic transfer and to attain printing equal to machine printing by atomizing pigment having <=10μ grain size and solved in liquid by an ultrasonic wave and developing a latent image through an atomized area. CONSTITUTION: Pigment having <=10μ grain size and solved in liquid or ink mixing the pigment is stored in a developing tank 3. Plural ultrasonic converters 4 and ultrasonic frequency current generators 5 are arranged on the bottom of the tank 3 and 1st and 2nd electrode pairs 12A, 12B, 13A, 13B connected to a DC power supply are also formed in the tank 3. The ultrasonic device atomizes particulates and forms a rectangular atomized area 11 through an electric field formed by the electrode pairs 12A, 12B, 13A, 13B. A latent image formed on a photosensitive body 1 is passed through the area 11 to develop an image. Consequently the accuracy of electrostatic transfer can be improved and printing equal to machine printing can be executed.
