Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate a circularly polarized wave by one point feeding even with a radiation element of symmetrical shape by fitting plural passive elements whose one side is short-circuited to the side face of an antenna and varying the length of the said passive elements from the short-circuit face. CONSTITUTION:A square radiation element 1 is provided in opposition to a ground conductor 3 while clipping a thin dielectric substance 2 shorter than the wavelength and a point on diagonal lines of the radiation element 1 is energized and orthogonal polarized waves of the same phase of the two modes are generated. On the other hand, plural passive elements 5 made of a metal conductor flat plate whose one side is connected to the ground conductor 3 and a short-circuit point are fitted to the side face of the antenna through the constitution above in such a way that the plane and the radiation element face are made in parallel and the length of each passive element 5 from the connection part with the ground conductor 3 varies. Then a phase difference of 90 deg. is given between the said two modes and circularly polarized waves are generated.
