Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the use as synchronous type shaft generator in substitute for a main engine, by installing a self starting type coil onto a speed boosting means through a hydraulic sliding type constant frequency device. CONSTITUTION:A propeller 3 for propulsion is jointed onto a main engine 1 through a stern side clutch 2. On the shaft on the opposite side to the propeller driving shaft side of the main engine 1, a speed booster 5 is installed through a bow side clutch 4, and an output shaft which is speed-boosted to a necessary revolution speed by the speed booster 5 is connected with a loading pump 7 through a clutch 6. A synchronous shaft type generator 9 is connected with the speed booster 5 through a hydraulic sliding type constant frequency device 8. The synchronous type generator 9 is equipped with a self starting coil for the use as electric motor.
