Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a ceramic coating agent for a heat exchanger having satisfactory coating adhesion, superior heat absorbing and radiating properties by mixing a mixture of heavy metal oxides with ground coat enamel and bentonite. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of, by weight, 5-30% manganese oxide, 5-20% iron oxide, 1-10% copper oxide, 3-20% lead oxide, 0.1-5% sodium silicate, 20-60% ground coat enamel, 5-20% bentonite and 28-50% water is ground to obtain a coating agent. This coating agent is applied to the heating surface of a heat exchanger to about 30-50mum thickness by spraying, dipping, brushing or other method and the applied coating agent is naturally dried in the air and hardened by heating.
