Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a waste gas recombining apparatus for bled gases from a condenser having a simple, small structure and low pressure drop and including no movable parts therein, preventing degradation of catalysts due to the fact that said catalysts are powdered, by combining a honeycomb structure for straighten flows with honeycomb catalysts. CONSTITUTION:A honeycomb structure 4 for straightening gas flows is provided at an inlet side portion inside a cylindrical vessel 1 having, no each side thereof, an inlet 2 to receive bled gases preheated by a waste gas preheater and an outlet 3 which delivers treated waste gases to a waste gas condenser; at a back portion of which a plural stages of honeycomb catalysts 5 carrying on their surfaces catalysts to combine hydrogen gas with oxygen gas in the waste gases are provided at predetermined intervals. Consequently, a waste gas recombining apparatus can be constructed which has a small size and low pressure drop which ensures high reaction efficiencies and also operability for a long period of time, without causing degradation of catalysts due to its pulverization.
