Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve capability of holding humidity and to decrease irritativeness, by combining specific quantities of amido derivatives represented by a specific general formula, cholesterol, oily substances, and water to prepare water-in-oil emulsions. CONSTITUTION:Water-in-oil emulsions which contains substantially no hydrophilic surface-active agents are prepared by combining A): 0.1-10wt.% of amido derivatives represented by formula I [R<1>: hydrocarbon-group having 10-26C, R<2>: hydrocarbon-group having 9-25C, X: -(CH2)n-, -(CH2CH2O)m-CH2CH2, -CH2CH(OH)-CH- (where n, m are integers 2-6), B): 0.1-10wt.% of cholesterol, C): 10-70wt.% of oily substances, and D): 10-88wt.% of water, while A/B being 0.1-10 weight ratio.
