Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve dispersion stability of calcium carbonate in glycol, by preparing glycol dispersion of calcium carbonate by wet-grinding glycol slurry comprising specific raw material for wet-grinding and glycol. CONSTITUTION:Calcium carbonate is surface-treated by using copolymers (A) of at least one selected from alpha,beta monoethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid and its salts and alpha,beta monoethylenic unsaturated carboxylate, and/or salts of copolymers (B) of alpha,beta monoethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid and alpha,beta monoethylenic unsaturated carboxylate; after which glycol dispersion of calcium carbonate comprising calcium carbonate and glycol is prepared by wet-grinding glycol slurry comprised of said surface-treated calcium carbonate as raw material and glycol.
