Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula R<1>-O-X-Y (R1 is saccharide chain; X is 1-4C alkylene; Y is substituted amino having fluorescence). EXAMPLE:2-Pyridylaminoethyl beta-lactoside. USE:An acceptor for activity measurement of sialyltransferase or fucosyltransferase which is a transferase important for biosynthesis of saccharide and also useful as a tumor marker. Raising sensitivity to measurement of transglycosylase activity and facilitating measurement. PREPARATION:First, a saccharide chain capable of becoming an acceptor of transglycosylase is acetylated under heating and brominated. Successively the saccharide chain brominated at the 1-position of reduced end saccharide is reacted with glycerol in the presence of silver carbonate, glycerol group is introduced to the 1-position of the reduced end saccharide and the saccharide chain is deacetylated. Finally formed 2,3-dihydroxypropyl-glycoside is oxidized, reduced and aminated.
