Abstract

PURPOSE:To give stable heat shrinkability and beautiful and strong packaging state and to improve stability and heat resistance in a printing pitch, by making use of a polyester film which is mainly composed of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol and composed of a naphthalene dicarboxylic acid derivative as a copolymeric ingredient and possesses a specific heat shrinkage factor and intersection shrinkage factor. CONSTITUTION:The title film is mainly composed of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol. Then the title film is a polyester film composed of a composition containing copolymer polyester composed of a naphthalene dicarboxylic acid derivative as a copolymeric ingredient. Accordingly, the title film possesses distinctive characteristics that a heat shrinkage factor in at least either unidirection of a longitudinal and lateral directions of the film within hot air of 100 deg.C is 30% or more. Then the film is obtained by orienting four times or more at an intersection shrinkage factor of 5% or more. It is preferable that a residual quantity of the naphthalene dicarboxylic acid derivative falls within a range of 1-50mol.% within the whole composition. In the case where the same is less than 1mol.%, holding time of inner residual stress becomes short. On the one hand, when the same exceeds 50mol.%, it has no effect of improving the holding time of residual stress at the time of heat treatment, noncrystallizability progresses and carrying-resistant properties deteriorate.
