Abstract

PURPOSE:To distribute evenly hollow yarns between support members to raise reliability of adhesion of hollow yarns to fixing members, by injecting liquid resin by the use of a potting case which houses a support plate having a number of openings and a plurality of support pipes. CONSTITUTION:Openings of hollow yarns are sealed with resins by applying resins to the open ends of the hollow yarns and following opening said yarns are opened to remove resin filled between said yarns. The bundles of said hollow yarns are housed in a housing 1, to which a conical potting case 5 with a resin introducing port 6 is secured liquid-tightly, while a support plate 10 provided with a great number of openings 11 and a plurality of support pipes 12 protruding certain length toward the ends of hollow yarn bundles is placed in the case 5. When liquid resin is admitted through the introducing port 6, the support plate is pushed upwardly by the resin, causing thereby the resin to be injected simultaneously from the openings 11 and the support pipes 12 into between said hollow yarns. In this manner, liquid resin can be injected evenly even in the case of a large scale module.
