Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title resource-saving composition excellent in lightweightness and heat insulation property, by adding a foaming agent and/or a foamable synthetic resin emulsion to the base of a double-layer finishing coating material and incorporating fine cells in the base. CONSTITUTION:A foaming gent (B) which is an anionic or nonionic surfactant (e.g., polyoxyethylene alkylaryl ether) and/or a foamable synthetic resin emulsion (e.g., acrylic synthetic resin emulsion) (B) and, optionally, a thickener (C) are added to the base of a double-layer finishing coating material (A) used mainly for finishing a building, and the resulting mixture is agitated at a high speed to form fine cells in it. Alternatively an aqueous solution of component B and a compressed gas (D) such as N2, He or CO2 are passed through a porous column to divide them into fine foams, and these foams are dispersed in component A to obtain the title composition of a specific gravity of 0.3-1.5 and a viscosity of 10-1,000 P.
