Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent collapse of a drift by absorbing a stress due to an earthquake, and to improve workability and economical efficiency by a method wherein a flexible material is eneployed in the middle of the building frame of a tunnel constructed through cast-in-place concrete between a ground and forms. CONSTITUTION: A tendon 2b is connected to a tendon 2a, protruded from the end part of a lining 5a built at a preceding process, through a connection tool 21. An arcuate division body comprising a ring plate and two flanges protruded from one surface thereof is inserted in a fit-in state in the tendon 2b through, in order, a press ring 1, flexible shoes 3, and a press ring 1 to assemble a ring body having the flexible shoes 3 interposed between the press rings 1 and 1. Further, forms 6b are also assembled to effect placing joint of a lining 5b through assembly of forms 6b and by repeating the above, a tunnel with the flexible shoes 3 interposed is constructed. This method absorbs and relaxes a stress, generated by an earthquake and nonuniform settlement of a ground, through expansion and contraction of the flexible shoe 3.
